Takashi Okazaki is a Japanese manga artist, visual designer and graphic designer, most notable for writing and illustrating the manga series Afro Samurai. Takashi Okazaki graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Tama Art University. Okazaki is active in both Japan and internationally, focusing on illustration art, manga, character design, and more. From 1999, he published his manga Afro Samurai to widespread praise. An anime adaption was later released and broadcast on TV in North America and received high acclaim. The following sequel, Afro Samurai- Resurrection, was nominated for the best feature-length anime at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. Okazaki also provided the character designs for Star Wars Visions- THE DUEL, Ninja Batman, and Sound & Fury; poster art for the manga Ghost of Tsushima; and cover art for Marvel comics among many others. Japanese illustrator Peach Momoko is one of comics' most highly sought-after cover artists, her gorgeous painted artwork gracing many of the industry's biggest titles. Momoko's beautifully rendered illustrations of characters including Captain Marvel, Spider-Gwen, Black Cat, Spider-Woman, Doctor Strange and Venom earned her both her own Marvel Portfolio and recognition as a Marvel Stormbreaker. She made her debut as an interior artist and writer with her smash-hit Demon Days saga, featuring an astonishing new vision of the Marvel Universe influenced by Japanese folktales.
