AMY KROUSE ROSENTHAL was born in 1965 and graduated from Tufts University. A prolific writer, speaker, filmmaker, and radio show host, she also contributed to TED Talks and wrote numerous adult and children's books, including Uni the Unicorn and Uni the Unicorn and the Dream Come True. She lived in Chicago with her husband and children, and she announced on March 3, 2017, that she was terminally ill with cancer. Her essay for the Modern Love column in the New York Times, entitled ""You May Want to Marry My Husband,"" went viral online. She died on March 13, 2017. Artist, designer, and educator, Brigette Barrager combined her love of gardens and colors in this exquisite gift book. Brigette also likes tea and books and general old lady-ishstuff, and hates when people's toes hang over the edges of their sandals. She is the author/illustrator of Vlad the Rad, the illustrator of the New York Times bestsellers Uni the Unicorn and Uni the Unicorn and the Dream Come True by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, as well as the illustrator of other picture books written by a variety of authors. Her awards and honors include the Christopher Medal for Distinguished Achievement for A Pocket Full of Colors written by Amy Guglielmo and Jacqueline Tourville. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts, she is currently a member of the faculty. Brigette lives with her dog, two cats, and husband in southern California.
