Carlisle knows how to make each sex scene stand out, through the lack of boundaries exhibited by the characters. There is no such thing as fidelity in the world Carlisle has created, which adds to the allure. Carlisle also does a good job of bringing a human element to otherworldly characters. Aside from the occasional sucking of blood, readers will forget that the main characters are demons, werewolves, valkyries and vampires. FOUR STARS! --Romantic Times
