Through his intelligent, appealing integration of Eastern philosophy and practical advice, Laurence G. Boldt has helped thousands of readers find personal satisfaction in their work and personal lives. Now he applies these principles to the subject of abundance- How do we achieve material wealth without sacrificing our souls?

In The Tao of Abundance, Boldt applies ancient wisdom to modern times, presenting eight guiding principles from Taoist philosophy geared to help readers make practical life changes that will bring them a truer and deeper sense of abundance. Boldt encourages readers to strike a balance between material and spiritual wealth--not to favor one over the other--and argues that increased material wealth comes as a natural byproduct of psychological fulfillment. With exercises designed to help readers find their own balance between societal demands and their own deepest desires, this helpful, inspiring book offers the chance to experience a new feeling of abundance in all aspects of life.

Reviews for The Tao of Abundance: Eight Ancient Principles for Living Abundantly in the 21st Century

Tired of a fast and demanding lifestyle? Want to change? This book could be the answer. More a manual set out in an easily accessible style, this book enables the reader to study Tao in individual chapters which fit together to form a complete picture. The wonderful quotes sprinkled in the margins are a real delight, and illustrate the essence of Tao. Although in many ways this is a companion to the author's earlier publication, Zen and the Art of Making a Living, it can stand alone. If the reader has no previous knowledge of Taoist philosophy, the chapter entitled 'Five Fingers of Tao' at the beginning of the book provides an overview of the concepts. The author has based the book on eight principles of abundant living, applying ancient wisdom to modern life, to encourage changes that might create a spiritually richer and improved lifestyle. The book is meant to be popular rather than scholarly, offering constructive information which encourages positive action, helping to create balance and harmony within the various aspects of our lives.
