BOOKSELLER PICKS

LINDY JONES

Lindy is an Abbey's Senior Bookseller, Bookbuyer, and a keen bird-watcher - when she is not reading hundreds of books for her position on the Judging Panel for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Lindy's status in book retailing was honoured with being awarded the Australian Bookseller Association (ABA) Bookseller of the Year in 2011, the inaugural year of the award.

Greg is an Abbey's Senior Bookseller and Bookbuyer, a sharp wit and, well, a bit of a man-of-mystery. He swoops on any new books on Russia, Eastern Europe, spies... (Greg? A spy? Nooo. Surely not. If true, Greg's deep cover as 'book retailing stalwart' is certainly impressive.)

Photo of Sian McNabneySIÂN MCNABNEY

Siân is an Abbey's Senior Bookseller and artist with an appreciation for beautiful writing, heart-felt stories and art biographies.

Christian is Abbey's Assistant Manager and he loves a pun. The nerdier, the better. With fiction he's a sandals and swords historical fiction reader however most of his reading is non-fiction about big issues that face the world, such as climate and AI.

Gavin is an Abbey's Bookseller who has an explosive laugh as he jests around some manifestation of the zeitgeist. His reading penchant is to seek out exceptional writing combined with rich storytelling.

Craig is Abbey's Marketing Manager, occasional artist and keen gardener who loves the fact that he gets to promote something he's passionate about - books! He likes to read widely and often ends up marketing to himself and has the bookshelves at home to prove it.
