Anton A. Richardson is a founding director of Richardson Murray, a boutique family law firm which practices exclusively in family law. Anton has been practicing family law, negotiation and mediation in Australia since 2004 and several years as a lawyer in Europe prior.

Anton A. Richardson (LLB) attended The University of Augsburg, Germany, and The University of Buckingham, England.Having achieved an honours degree in English law personally handed to him by the Honourable Margaret Thatcher, the then chancellor of The University of Buckingham, Anton returned to Ireland and successfully completed The Law Society of Ireland legal practice course at Blackhall Place in Dublin.In 2002 Anton was admitted to practice law in Ireland, and subsequently obtained a practicing certificate for Northern Ireland and England. Anton was appointed at that time as the youngest ever committee member to the Law Society of Ireland Ethics and Guidance Committee and Employment Law Committee.In 2004 Anton relocated permanently to Australia to pursue his favourite pastime of kitesurfing and was admitted to practice in Queensland. Anton has practiced exclusively in Family Law, negotiation and mediation since 2004.With an extensive understanding of commercial, corporate and trust structures, Anton can represent clients in even the most complex matters and thus represents many high profile, celebrity and high net worth individuals.The ability to speak French, German and a little Spanish, assists the representation of clients with entities and assets in multiple countries and jurisdictions.As a qualified mediator Anton regularly assists clients in negotiating settlements in both property and parenting matters, thereby avoiding the need for court proceedings.Given his acknowledged and recognised skills in negotiation, Anton has been called upon to assist clients in the field of Sport Law and has represented several world champion and top professional kite surfers, surfers, Moto GP and Super Sport Series motorcycle teams and riders, NRL and AFL players, with sponsorship negotiations and contracts, and contract disputes, both nationally and internationally.Anton also organised the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association World Tour Event in Australia, with the support of Events Queensland and Tourism Queensland and assisted in the negotiations for the introduction of kitesurfing into summer Olympics.Anton's passion is assisting people through separation without the collateral damage. By particularly favouring mediation he takes what is now recognised throughout the profession as being the most successful means of resolving family law matters and avoiding Court.Anton is never hesitant to call upon his extensive network, which includes retired Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit Court of Australia Judges, Queen's Counsel, Senior Barristers and some of the country's leading Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Family Report Writers and Child Experts, to assist his clients in receiving the absolute best advice and mediated outcomes.With a very strong reputation in Court, Anton is able to assist in settling an estimate of over 95% of cases without the need for a trial.
