He is currently the pop music critic at the Chicago Sun-Times and a contributor to Penthouse, Guitar World, World of Wrestling, and the Launch and Impression web sites, amongst other publications. Together with Greg Kot - Siskel to his Ebert - he co-hosts Sound Opinions, the world's only rock 'n' roll talk show, on Wxrt-Fm. His first book, Kaleidoscope Eyes: Psychedelic Rock from the 60s to the 90s, was published in 1996
