Joanne O'Callaghan was born in Melbourne, brought up in Perth, lived in Hong Kong for twelve years and now lives in Melbourne. She has been a Marketing and Communications Director and self-published her first book, My Hong Kong, illustrated by Ralph Kiggell, in 2010, which continues to be a bestseller in Hong Kong. Joanne has collaborated with award-winning Chinese artist, Kori Song on The Swimmers and Found in Hong Kong. Found in Melbourne is their third book together. Kori Song's expressive and colourful illustrations reflect her interest in the relationship between cities and those who live in them. Kori graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Chongqing, China and her first book, Cicada, was a winner in the Sun Hung Kai Properties Young Writers' Debut Competition in 2013. Translator, Kevin Yang, graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master in Applied Linguistics, and is a Mandarin teacher at Clifton Hill Primary School, as well as at Confucius Institute at the University of Melbourne. Kevin has long worked on promoting understanding between China and the West by bringing Chinese language and culture to his students.
