'One of our best contemporary writers.' Sunday TelegraphIt's those around you who make you who you are.

Michael Frayn would like to say a brief word about a few of the people who have formed hisown particular world. Some were friends, some were not; some were more than friends.

Some have had a profound effect, some only a passing one. Some he now wonders if he everreally knew. But each has had a formative effect on his own remarkable life.

Among Others is a patchwork memoir of a lifetime's encounters. Truthful and loving, sometimes elegiac, sometimes comic, it is a celebration of the endlessly intriguing othernessof others.'The most philosophical comic writer - and the most comic philosophical writer - of ourtime.' Daily Mail
