Harriet Evans has sold over a million copies of her books. She is the author of thirteen bestselling novels, most recently The Beloved Girls, a Richard and Judy Book Club Selection and the Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller The Garden of Lost and Found, which won Good Housekeeping's Book of the Year. She used to work in publishing and now writes full time, when not distracted by her children, other books, gardening, her jumpsuit collection and now star-gazing, having acquired a telescope whilst researching The Stargazers. She volunteers with Inspiring the Future, is an ambassador for the London Library and last year was elected to the Management Committee of the Society of Authors. She lives in the greatest city in the world (Bath) with her family.
Harriet Evans is a master at creating characters you feel like you know inside out, and wish you could meet in real life - we almost couldn't bear to leave them when we finished. An unputdownable thrill of a novel - you'll be racing to the end to find out the Winter family's deep, dark secret. If you are looking for a modern-day Daphne du Maurier thriller with plenty of tear-jerking romance along the way, here's the perfect addition to your bookshelf. ***** Heat A brilliantly written story that will stay with you long after the last page Fabulous Magazine, Sun on Sunday A really superior modern saga, with utterly true to life characters Sunday Mirror Fabulously gripping story Prima Atmospheric and descriptive, Evans creates a tangible world full of tragedy and hardship, love and redemption, with a satisfying conclusion.
