Clyde Haberman is an American journalist who is currently a columnist for The New York Times. He has worked for the Times since 1977. Haberman's assignments at the Times have included staff editor of the Week in Review section; Metro reporter; City Hall bureau chief; and, from 1982 to 1995, foreign correspondent in Tokyo, Rome and Jerusalem.
