Justin Bua grew up in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NY. He attended Manhattan’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and Performing Arts and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He started his career doing slick bottom paintings for the skateboard industry. Over the years, BUA has designed CD covers for Warner Brothers, Atlantic Records, Sony Music, and BMG Music; animated the opening title sequence for MTV’s The Lyricist Lounge Show; created the pilot for Comedy Central’s animated series Urbania; developed EA’s video game NBA Street (and consulted on NFL Street); and designed a line of PF Flyer sneakers for New Balance (which sold out within hours of its release) in 2004 and 2005. He teaches Figure Drawing in the Fine Art Department at USC, and lives in Los Angeles.
