Richard A. Marcantonio is an Assistant Professor of Environment, Peace, and Global Affairs at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. He is a researcher, teacher, and practitioner focused on regenerative and durable livelihoods, environmental management and policy, environmental and other violence, and peacebuilding. He is the author of Environmental Violence: In the Earth System and the Human Niche (Cambridge University Press, 2022), co-author of the textbook Environmental Management: Concepts and Practical Skills (Cambridge University Press, 2022), and lead co-editor of Environmental Violence Explored (Cambridge University Press, 2024).
