Since leaving teaching to become a carer for his disabled grandsons, Michael Foley has been concentrating on writing. After having a number of articles and short stories published in a variety of magazines such as best of British and This England and Essex Life he wrote his first book 'Front Line Essex'. His early books were mainly local titles covering Essex and London with a military basis. He has recently concentrated on more general military titles which mainly centre on the First World War. This is his 24th book.
