His novel Game, about the bushranger Ben Hall, was shortlisted for the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, Christina Stead Prize for Fiction 2014, longlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award 2014, and shortlisted for the Colin Roderick Award 2013. He lives in Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains.
