Big data analytics and intelligent technologies transform operations and service practices for enhanced sustainability. As industries adopt environmentally and socially responsible practices, the integration of advanced data-driven techniques presents opportunities to optimize resource efficiency, reduce waste, and improve ethical sourcing. AI, machine learning, IoT, and predictive analytics revolutionize procurement practices and supply chain management. However, challenges emerge in data privacy, interoperability, and scalability. Further exploration into organizational SDGs may reveal new avenues for businesses to maintain operational competitiveness while being mindful of their environmental footprint. Sustainable Operations in the Age of AI and Big Data explores how IoT-generated big data, integrated with advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning, enables sustainable industrial operations across manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing. It addresses implementation challenges, practical applications, and conceptual foundations. This book covers topics such as smart manufacturing, sustainable development, and cybersecurity, and is a useful resource for business owners, engineers, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
