Virginia Rigney is a senior curator at Gold Coast City Gallery, where she has worked since 2003 on a range of projects including a number that have sought to investigate the visual culture of that city. Projects have included Sold: The Gold Coast Real Estate Dream, Sexualising the City: Imaging Desire and Gold Coast Identity, Learning from Surfers Paradise: The John Gollings Rephotography project and Fibro Coast. Prior to coming to the Gold Coast, she worked in curatorial departments at the Powerhouse Museum, Art Gallery of NSW, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Glasgow Museums. Nigel Krauth is a professor and head of the writing program at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia. He has published novels, stories, essays, articles and reviews. His research investigates creative writing processes and the teaching of creative writing practice. He is the editor of Text: Journal of Writing and Writing Courses.
