Ron Boucher has spent a lifetime bringing stories to life-on stage, in the studio, and now, on the page. A classically trained singer and dancer, Ron began performing at age 15 and went on to appear with the New York City Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, and with the Emmy Award winning, Prince Street Players. But his greatest role has been behind the scenes-teaching, directing, and nurturing young talent. As founder of the Community Alliance for the Performing Arts (CAPA) Fund and co-creator of the Eastern Virginia School of the Performing Arts, Ron has dedicated over two decades to helping children and teens find their voices-literally and artistically. From the footlights of opera houses to the joy of watching students shine in their first stage roles, Ron's journey is a celebration of passion, perseverance, and the transformative power of the arts.
""There are so many times that Mr. Boucher's career could have slipped the rails, but this engaging memoir will remind you that life is a process of becoming. In Anais Nin's words, 'The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud became more painful than the risk it took to blossom.' Mr. Boucher has collected a full bouquet."" Ann Henry Co-founder and former Executive Director, Soundscapes ""PRELUDE is the author's very personal account of what he experienced as a child and young adult trying to find his place in the world. It is a life's journey accompanied with background music which became Ron's refuge and passion. It is a narrative told with honesty, wit, and courage."" Pauline Boisvert Author and Playright
