'This book is both charming and haunting, as it highlights the uncanny nature of puppets and the links between fantasy and dream. The story is generously illustrated by Christopher Nielsen, whose drawings highlight the ease with which reality, imagination and fantasy slide across each other's boundaries.' Sydney Morning Herald
