Dr Ceri Evans is a forensic psychiatrist and independent consultant working with clients in the area of performance under pressure. After graduating with distinction in medicine in his native New Zealand, Dr Evans was awarded a Rhodes scholarship to Oxford University. While gaining first class honours in experimental psychology, he played professional football in the English Football League Championship. Dr Evans appeared 85 times for the New Zealand football team and is a 5th dan karate black belt. After training in psychiatry at Maudsley Hospital in London, Dr Evans completed a PhD on traumatic memory, specialised in forensic psychiatry, and served as the clinical director of a regional forensic psychiatric service in New Zealand. In addition to private clinical practice, he has worked across the spectrum with leading medical, corporate, government, legal and security forces specialists, and a number of elite sports teams and individuals. Peter has worked for 25 years on stage and on screen as an actor and voice-over artist. His theatre work includes performing in improvised musicals, comedy shows, and kids entertainment. He also works in Communications Training at the University of Auckland. He currently lives in Piha, a surf beach on the west coast of Auckland which he shares with his daughter, a mouse and a guinea pig.
