Our Bush Capital was a crowdfunded publication,that exceeded all expectations. Not only did the city of Canberra get behind this celebration of the nation's capital, but two tourism organisations sponsored the book, to ensure that it was published, and that one copy of the book was given to every federal MP and senator. It was read out in ACT Parliament by the Early Childhood and Education Minister and celebrated in parliament by other members.

AUTHOR: Samantha Tidy is an award winning author of adult, young adult and children's fiction. Recent children's titles include The Day We Built the Bridge (Midnight Sun, February 2019) and Our Bush Capital. Earlier children's titles include The Blue Polar Bear (Picture Book, 2005), The Flying Dream (Picture Book, 2005).
Juliette Dudley is an established illustrator and designer, having also designed the cover of Capital Yarns by Sean Costello. She has worked for The Canberra Times, Her Canberra and today freelances as an illustrator in branding and design, having started her own design company, Poyo Studio.
