Joanna Sztuba-Solinska is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences, Auburn University, Alabama, US. She has more than ten years’ experience working across the fields of molecular virology and biochemistry, with specific training and expertise in the analysis of RNA structure, regulation, and function in different viral systems, including herpesviruses, filoviruses, and flaviviruses. Dr. Sztuba-Solinska is currently also Principal Investigator at Auburn University where she leads a laboratory team working at the interface of molecular biology and virology, where they use molecular, biochemical, and bioinformatic tools to study the structure, function, epitranscriptomic regulation of viral coding and non-coding RNAs. This research ultimately leads to understanding the viral RNAs structure-to-function relationship, and the potential identification of new antiviral targets and therapies.
