Tina and I met and became instant war buddies in high school, in the 90's. We survived the grueling years of growing pains, dark family histories, and life's hardships together. Somehow, we just understood the huge complexities and challenges within each other's lives. We often reminded one another of who we are in times of deep struggle and joy. Luckily, we came out all the better for it all. I am grateful for all the vibrant and beautiful colors Tina has added to my life. Our history holds strong and is resilient with emotional longevity and withstands the test of time. Friends are truly all that we have to get us through this life. I fortunately found that friend in Tina.
