His family then moved to Long Island where he graduated Seaford High School. Mr. Callahan achieved an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Nassau Community College, a B.A. in English/Education and an M.A. in English from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Years later he achieved a J.D. from St. John's Law School, Jamaica, New York. The author has worked primarily as an English teacher and an attorney. In his youth, he worked as a paperboy, landscaper, produce department clerk, and roofer.
