Rebe Goebel is the mama of kiddos with special needs, just like you. She is also a trauma-informed Parent Advocacy Coach who specializes in helping parents navigate the special education system without sacrificing their own physical and mental health. Her approach is rooted in the belief that effective advocacy requires a strategic knowledge of the system, strong leadership skills, and-most importantly-a grounded nervous system as the foundation.Rebe's journey began over a decade ago when her first foray into special education ended in what she describes as a ""shocking disaster"". Realizing her son couldn't afford for her to be a passive participant, she drew on her experience as an Air Force officer and a corporate contract negotiator to secure the support he needed. This experience led to a pivotal realization: a parent's nervous system sets the tone for every interaction, from the living room to the IEP table.Today, Rebe leverages decades of leadership experience, along with certifications in somatic work, including trauma-informed breathwork and Reiki energy healing. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri, where she met her husband, Alex. When she isn't lighting lanterns for other mamas, Rebe can be found in the St. Louis area cheering on her two teenage sons at wrestling matches and lacrosse games. In her quieter moments, she is often found with a mug of tea and a good book. An avid traveler, she is happiest with her toes in the surf.To explore Rebe's current offerings, including coaching packages, workshops, and courses, visit her online at www.rebegoebel.com or on Instagram @rebegoebel. Note: Rebe sounds like ""Debbie"" with an ""r"".
""Rebe's special sauce is her ability to balance practical advice with an internal mindfulness component... What sets Rebe apart is the range of her experiences, training, and abilities."" - Dawn Raffel, Magazine Editor and Author
