Dr. Kaan Koçali serves as a faculty member and department head in the Occupational Health and Safety Department of the Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School at Istanbul Gelişim University. Koçali completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Mining Engineering Department and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in Occupational Health and Safety from Istanbul Aydın University. He also has a multidisciplinary academic background in entrepreneurship, business administration, and engineering. In his academic career, Dr. Koçali has focused primarily on occupational health and safety, ergonomics, social security policies, and risk management. He has published numerous articles in national and international journals, presented papers at numerous scientific congresses, and contributed to various academic books. He has also served as a project manager on TUBITAK-supported projects and conducted studies on occupational safety practices in critical areas such as the mining industry, disaster management, and logistics. Koçali holds international qualifications such as ISO standards, NEBOSH, and IOSH. He plays an active role in education and quality committees at various universities and participates in international academic mobility programs as part of the Erasmus program. He has been deemed worthy of many national and international research and achievement awards for his academic achievements.
