Barbara's academic foundation includes a BA in English from Loyola Marymount, an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, and doctoral studies at both the Graduate Theological Union's conjoint program with UC Berkeley and the University of Integrative Learning, where she completed her dissertation on Process Philosophy and Creativity.Barbara's teaching career spans tenure positions at San Francisco State University, Bowling Green State University, and Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California.
