Megean Weldon is a Midwestern girl who calls Kansas City her home. Over the last three years, she has set forth on a journey to become as zero waste as possible. Known as The Zero Waste Nerd, she and her husband decided to re-evaluate their lives and send almost no trash to the landfill, as well as to cut out nearly all plastic use. She started her blog Zero Waste Nerd (zerowastenerd.com) to show her progress from day one and to share her experiences. Expecting that the transition would make her and her husband more connected to food, strengthen relationships with friends and family, and improve their quality of life, she invites readers to join her on their journey.
The tips, strategies, DIY projects and recipes in her beautifully illustrated book are inspirational, mindful and most importantly, realistic. * Madison Magazine * Weldon is practical in her guidance, and she urges readers to use up their disposables before replacing them with sustainable alternatives. * BookPage * The book is jam-packed with information in short, easily-digestible paragraphs, and the chapters are accompanied by cute graphics and stylized minimalist photography. -- Katherine Martinko * TreeHugger * Recommended for anyone looking for everyday suggestions for a simpler and more sustainable life. * Green Teacher *
