Elly Griffiths was born in London. She worked in publishing for many years. Her bestselling series of Dr Ruth Galloway novels, featuring a forensic archaeologist, are set in Norfolk. The series has won the CWA Dagger in the library, and has been shortlisted three times for the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year. Her Stephens and Mephisto series is based in 1950s Brighton. She lives near Brighton with her husband, an archaeologist, and their two children.
Griffiths applies a light touch, her Norfolk setting is admirably gloomy and Galloway is appealingly unglamourous. The Times A wonderfully rich mixture of ancient and contemporary ... A welcome addition to a great series. Guardian A sinister, life-threatening mystery that grips to its end. Woman & Home [Griffiths] effectively conveys the hurt and complex feelings that can result from unthinking indiscretions and somehow these become integral to the narrative. CrimePieces A Room Full of Bones is another multi-layered investigation which rewards the reader with each level of the dig into the story. WeLoveThisBook
