Wang Dongdong was born in 1983 in Henan, located in central China. He established himself as a poet and poetry critic in Henan before moving to Beijing. He is currently a doctoral student of Chinese literature, specializing in the early modernists of China in the 1930s. He has written critical essays in order to promote the poetry of his generation in China, and has reviewed poetry.
