But when tragedy strikes, Kathleen is left vulnerable and one man threatens the fragile peace she has made for herself. Meanwhile, Nathan Perry works for his father's accountancy firm but yearns for something more satisfying. He is brought in to help with the purchase of Honeyfield House, intended as a safe house for women in trouble by a charitable benefactor, and there encounters Kathleen. Reviews for The Honeyfield Bequest: Honeyfield Bequest #1

A heartwarming story with memorable characters. --SirReadaLot.org Anna is one of those authors for whom recreating the past is deceptively easy. Part detective story, part high romance, The Honeyfield Bequest is part of a series, and I do wish I'd read the others in the series. Kathleen is a superb character and dominates the story. Domestic abuse was rife in those days, and Anna handles it superbly. This is quite simply the perfect holiday read. --Books Monthly
