Juan Marse was born in 1933 in Barcelona. He is a Spanish novelist and screenwriter, and has won numerous awards for both his novels, most recently the 2008 Cervantes Prize. Nick Caistor's translations include The Buenos Aires Quintet by Manuel Vazquez Montalban and works by Eduardo Mendoza, Juan Marse and Alan Pauls.
