Workplace investigations are complex affairs requiring a variety of skills and a knowledge of criminal, civil, and employment law. The process must be clearly outlined and structured and then flawlessly executed. Employers must invest significant time, money, and patience to ensure they get the results they want without making mistakes and exposing themselves to significant risk of litigation or otherwise. Investigations in the Workplace, Second Edition once again examines industry best practices in the challenging discipline of workplace investigations. This edition is completely updated with new sections on investigative policy, policy developments, credibility determinations, the use of workplace hotlines, neuro-linguistic interviewing, and court judgments and judgment enforcement. New flow charts and diagrams are included to illustrate concepts. Security professionals, lawyers, investigators, and human resources professionals will find a wealth of knowledge as to the tips and traps associated with workplace investigations
